Is Ember a Burning Man™️ Regional Event?

No, Ember is not an official regional event in the Burning Man community. Though we hope to one day bring that to Oklahoma, we model ourselves after the 10 Principles of the Burning Man Project.

How old do you have to be to attend Ember?

Attendees must be 18+ to attend Ember, unless accompanied by an adult.

Will children or minors be allowed everywhere?

We know that for some folx, a burn type of event is the perfect place for radical self-expression, autonomy and freedom. We want to offer that experience while not disenfranchising parents and caretakers. Typically, sanctioned burns are all ages, and we aspire for Ember to potentially be sanctioned.

What are the rules or protocols for children and minors on the property?

We want to ensure a great and safe experience for all who attend our gathering. Our site operations team is hard at work designing the map so that there are sections that govern this exact concern. To that end we will have the following sections:

Green Section - Kid friendly area filled with activities.
Yellow Section - Intersecting areas where all ages can roam.
Red Section - An 18+ area where children and minors are not allowed.
